-5 - my top strategies for managing HR tasks

Are you finding it tough to juggle HR tasks without a dedicated team?

Entrepreneurs and startups, I get the struggle. I’ve been there myself, and it's pretty challenging.

Here’s how you can make it work with Workast: simplify your HR tasks, ensuring efficiency and organization, even with a small team.

Onboarding and offboarding team members

A new member joins your team and you need to: invite them to Slack, create their email account, setup payroll, etc etc. And when a person leaves, you need to: disable their accounts, transfer their files, etc.

So the first thing you want to do is create a template of tasks that need to happen when someone joins your team and another template when someone leaves.

Create all the necessary tasks in the template, assign them to the right person and you can even add a due date to make sure things are done in the right time when the template is imported.

👉 This onboarding template is ideal for managers, team leads, or anyone onboarding a new team member. You can edit the custom fields and tags to fit your team's needs.

Less messages and more getting done

Slack messages and emails with team member requests will likely get buried. It is best if you can set up a couple of forms to streamline your processes making sure you don’t miss anything.

👉 When a person submits the form, a task is created and assigned to the person you define and you can even set up a due date automatically so you won’t forget to take care of it. Here are some forms that we use at Workast:

- PTO and Vacation Forms

Design a form where employees can submit their PTO requests, specifying dates, reason for leave, and any additional comments.

- Refunds

Create a form for employees to submit refund requests for business-related expenses, including receipt uploads, expense details, and reasons for the refund.
